Need to check my engine number and couldnt see it after having a quick look. where exactly is it?

if you look at it from the front if you look at the right hand side of the engine I think its facing you pretty close to the radiator going down the engine rather than across mate mine was really dirty so u may need to clean it to see it

Its written along the edge of the lip where it meets the gearbox

Mine was quite faint, so I supplied the DVLA with the V5 and they got the rest.

just needing it as doing the cam belt but there is two different ones for the age of my engine. was told it was from a 92 cav gsi
