Ok done a search but now even more confused.
Jst about to fit a -40mm suspension kit. Its says to cut down the original bumpstops?
Do u have to do this, or would i be better buying new ones?
If i buy new ones i could buy shorter ones so that the suspension doesnt rest on them?
If so does anyone know the A=Overall Length, B=Outside Diameter, C=Bore that i would need?

use the shorter ones off an SRi or GSi perhaps  mite explain why my front lowered 60 isnt all that low

Just keep the standard foam bumpstops in. Using bumpstops like powerflex's polly ones can cause the car to bounce a lot unless you have very uprated dampers - also makes it a much crashier ride. In all my years and 5 different suspension set-ups on my corsa B I honestly recomend you keep the std GM foam ones in there providing they look to be in good condition.

Mine aren't in the greatest condition , where can you get new ones , and for how much ?

Well you can get factory replacements but I believe Vaux charge the best part of £25 a pair  . Just try to stick to foam or at worst Jamex do some rubber ones, im running rubber ones on mine (Bilstein 40mm Grp A tarmac/Spax RSX and they are pretty good.

If you hit a big bump or pothole then the damper will compress fully and bottom-out metal on metal, causes the cd to skip and probable damage to chassis and suspension components over time. Fit them.

The bump stops stop the spring from bottoming out. If they spring bottoms out then you will fuck your car as the parts of the chassis/shock where the spring sits are not meant to withstand that sort of energy being passed through them. The bump stop is to absorb that energy. If you don't use them and bottom out the suspension then expect some bent/cracked metal somewhere
