Depends how much you have to spend and have you already got a box. I would stay away from Vibe. Look at the RE SX range, around the £270 mark iirc will take 1200 rms nicely.

Sorted. This baby will allow you to turn the gains down a wee bit putting less stress on the amp. Personally i wouldnt put any more than 1200rms through the SX.

pah u can run plenty over IMO, my comps are rated at 80w RMS and are run by a 200 x 2 RMS amp, and my sub is 300RMS rated and thats gonna be getting 650w RMS once the new amp arrives...

RE products are that expensive i just wouldnt risk it. I was speaking to the UK distributer and he was saying it would be to risky putiing anymore than 1200rms. It could be done, but how last it would last i dont know. The RE HC would be fine with 1500 rms, but there pretty hard to get these days new. That Hifonics amp does something like 1600 rms @ 1 ohms (i guy i know had it tested) so its excellent value for money, just hope you have a good power supply and that seller on Ebay is from the US. But he'l get you through without paying taxes etc

ohms is resistance , your sub may be for example 600watts at 4 ohms 1200watts at 2ohms .
for example i had a sub lined up but it were duel 2ohms , but my rockford amp will not run stable at 1ohm ,
the less resistance the more power you will get , like a drain , the bigger the hole the wuicker the water will drain (less resistance ) where if the hole was tiny it would take longer (higher resistance)
ive been looking at the 15SE , might buy it after my holiday and run it off my bd1000
