Yep fillin the holes will restrict the 'fresh' air comming into the car via the heater/vents and it would also restrict the water that drians off of the windscreen, this would mean it draining onto the engine? Shouldnt cause too many problems.

Nah you wont experience any problems from it. Its a case of the manufacturer being over the top about stuff, smooth away and life will be sweet.

how much does it cost to get the scuttle pannel smoothed.

i not really going to get it done i was just woundering but will probably get it painted though as it would look stupid on a fully colour coded car .

cut a piece of plastic the same shape and stick it ontop then blend it in, will save so many hours and it will be flat, not all over the place, u can get it very cheap from do it wickes etc..

scuttle - open bonnet -- 4 screws, oh and need to remove wiper too (13mm socket)

its not exactly hard to do - just takes alot of time to get it right

i used 2 small tubs of p40 fibreglass (£4 each)
and a little filler (already had it but be another 4 quid)
sand paper and some wet n dry (maybe a quid)

then just ya primer and ya paint

and alot of spare time
