hi
been looking into getting one of these for my xe,
i currently have the ecotec pipe fitted and was just wondering whether
a powercap would make much difference?
reason is, v-tuning sell the ecotec adapter for £95 and the powercap for £100!
also i have heard that the some powercaps are different to others? ie m tech, mantzel, regal, courtenay?
anyone know if there is a difference?
thanks

All powercaps are the same.
Made by Mantzel, Courtenay sell the Mantzel one, MTech grind the Mantzel name off, etc.
No major difference in power between Ecotec pipe and Powercap, at least not enough to warrant cutting your bulkhead for.

i went for the powercap, and to be honest, if i was doing another one i'd use the ecopipe.
supposedly gives slight better power high up the rev range, but the only real benefit i can think of is that they look better.

It's not that the Powercap is a bad route, but it's an unnecessary route.
