IMO, removing the rev limiter would be pointless.

Answer: You buy a Unichip or stand alone ECU which you get programmed on a rolling road.

BUT DOn't remove the rev limiter, there would be no reason, you engine will be producing peak power and otrque output way before the rev limter kicks in. Also its there to stop your engine going bang bang.

are you for real? any higher than 8000rpm for even a very short period of time and the engine will pop. and i don't think its possible to have no limit, unless you get a piggyback and have the limit at something like 20,000rpm, not that you will ever reach that

dude, you're engine will whine like a ***** and eventually give up on you.

you reach peak power+torque way before the limiter anyways.

the only reason you'd want to remove the limiter on a standard engine is to have a bit of destructive fun..

1.0 12v's that have done alot of miles do actually sound like diesels, my uncles has done 90k, and sounds like a diesel, they normally just sounds really gutless and quite gruff tho
