i have oil in my water tank on a c20xe i know what the problem is but i have another problem which is how do i flush the system out when i replace head gasket or the head just plain water wont shift it some1 suggested washing up liquid but to ensure that it is totally flushed after that is there a tiny amount of salt in it which will therefore cause rust in the head etc i need something to get all this crap out. some1 help please

buy a proper system flush, like a Wynn's product

washing powder did the trick for me.
i was looking for forte bio-degreaser to put in, but a mechanic recommended Daz powder.
worked wonders. don't forget that the coolant is also a rust inhibitor.
