why would you want to fit a 1.3 8v engine
in my eyes not worth the hassle, anything less then a 1.4 16v is not worth it.
your not going to get in once done and think wow thats well fast

ive currently got a 1.3sr nova and its quicker than my mayes 1.4 16v sport but the only reason its quicker is cos the nova dont weigh fuk all!

i suppose if you've got the engine lying there and you aint got much money to be puttin bigger engines in, then you might aswell put the 1.3 in.
but consider that the nova sports had roughly the same performance stats as the nova gsi's and they were only tuned wiv twin 40 webbers and cammed etc.. so if you do put the 1.3 in make sure you tune it give www.waldenengineering.co.uk a look and they've got loadsa tuning parts if your gonna rebulid the engine

the 1.3 engines run mechanically and there is no ecu involved all you gotta do is connect the fuel pipes up to the carbs and off you go
