ANyone know of any links for rolling road scans from mags or club reports for corsas, novas, vauxhalls in general ?
Cheers...
Also how do the Novas compare to the Corsas in performance. How does a Corsa compare to the Nova 1,4SRI and 1.3 SR, thinking 1.2, 1.4, and the valver corsas.

That sounds like shit, sorry, what I mean is
What Corsa is as quick as a 1.3 SR, 1.4 SR and SRI, GSi etc.
For example will a Corsa 1.2 16v match an SR 1.3
will a 1.4 SRI Corsa match a 1.4 SRi Nova.

Corsa sri 8v and nova sri's have the same engine. Although as nova's are lighter the nova will be quicker. The Nova Gte/Gsi is pretty much equal to the corsa Gsi.

Cheers. My friend who has a std Corsa 1.2 Comfort with a 1.4 back box (off a 1.4 elegance) and a drilled airbox, reckons he can match a 1.4 Nova SRi kneck and kneck screaming the bollocks out of it and then pull two car lengths away over 100 mph.

So a Nova SRi must be at least as quick as a 1.4 16v Corsa then.

Good luck getting it over 100mph!!! I have come up against standard GTE's and GSi's before and i would edge ahead in every case.

Take it you have a 1.4 or 1.6 Corsa cyber ?
The 1.2 16v 75 bhp is supposed to do 106 mph.
(eventually)
The Nova Sport wasn't aht just an SR with twin carbs and an Irmscher airbox ? Maybe a cam was available. I saw a Nova Sport racing a Cavalier SRi 130 some years ago and it was pulling away from the lights.
Anyone know of any rolling road report links so I can look at power figures ?

Nova sports are basically 1.3 SR's on twin 40's, there was an option for a better cam as well. They make 100bhp I think, same as a GTE/Gsi.

I had 114 out of my nova when it was a 1.2i, down a big hill with huge run up and a digi dash. Had 136 with this engine, then the car in front got close quick, would do 140 quite easily though, that was on the flat as well.

A nova sri 8v is 14 secs 0-60 where a corsa sri 8v is around 11, so nova is slower dumb ass

There is only one nova sri, the 82bhp 8v (same engine as corsa sri), there is another 1.4i nova which is the spi version which makes about 60bhp.
