Revised Version
Basically my Engine Management light keeps coming on and off at low speeds, roughly 0-20mph and it appears to be in 1st or 2nd gear, it happened last night after work at about 10.30 and the car just seemed to lose all power the revs jus drop to nothing and almost cut the engine out but if i gave it some accelerator they went up and eventually the light wentoff again. I managed to get it home and today i had a look at a few things, fuses and any pipes that werent connected but all seemed fine and i took it out for a drive up and down the road, it didnt lose power like the other night but the light kept coming and going anyone have any idea what may be up?
also can i carry out a paperclip test because the light isnt always on, its only on now and again? if someone could host a video u can see it going on and off its only 2.5mb... thanks for any advice
btw its a Corsa B 1.2 16v (2000)

Have you flashed the fault codes to find out what is causing the EMS light to come on??
That will point you in the right direction

If it's the EGR, then it doesn't matter if you blank it off or not, you still need to have it plugged in to stop the fault code coming on and to not run in limp mode.
I think I read mantzel do a EGR replacement job, to mimic the EGR valve and stop the fault code.

check all fuses first, could be a simple thing
ICV and EGR seem to be everyones answer to everything
