In the process of getting a 1.4 16v engine fitted into my 1.0 12v and just need some info. How do u wire them up properly as the bloke who is fitting it said that the looms are completely different. Could someone who has done this conversion give me a hand.

Also what did u do about the mounting that goes on the chassis on the drivers side of the car?

get some x14xe looms!
u should have bought them with the engine along with the ECU

i did but the bloke at the garage said there was some problem with the wiring between tne 1.0 12v and 1.4 16v

ill pop down mate and give you a hand, it will be the wiring for the starting and charging system they are having probs with. different plugs on them.

they are haing probs with the wires for the dasboard and lights etc?
