i cancelled my Admiral policy 2 months ago because it ran out...
the renewal was £1250
i just went online and they now quoted me £1500!!
so i called them up, i did not say i did it online, and did one over the phone
and the bastads quoted me £1900
i was like what the hell is going on, the guy just chatted a load of crap! and they settled for the online quote but would not give me my original renewal price!
ive tried everywere, directline, tesco, elephant, endsleigh etc, they all around the same...£1500!!
you think their is any chance of matching or beating the Renewal i had with Admiral???

yes i do mate, the "renewal schedule" which is also my proof of NCB for that year, i was allowed to keep....
their excuse was that the "rates" have changed since then!!
only two months ago and it has gone up by over £250 ??????

yes, thats what i was thinking
because i cancelled it they dont really have to give me the renewal price that they originally offered!
ive tried about 10 diferent companies and they all quote about the same!
think i might just bite the bullet and take the £1500 quote!
what you think??

All quotes are normally only valid for a certain number of days. To expect a renewal quote to be valid two months later is pushing it a bit.
The online quote should be cheaper than the over the phone quote - that's the whole point. You're taking out the commission and wages normally spent on employing someone to give quotes over the phone day in day out.

They're not obliged to honour quotes from months ago. Rates change as risks and outgoings change, and can go down as well as up.
If Admiral are cheap for you then First Alternative may be also, details in the topped thread added just now.
