so i fitted a piper cross cone filter to my SRI, now the car wont start... what could be wrong?
heres how i done it..
1) removed old filter
2) fitted new filter as per instructions
3) cleaned the engine bay with 'GUNK' degreaser, and washed down thoroughly with a hose....
4) tried to start it... **chugg chugg chugg... not kicking into life, but still turning over...
5) tried again with a little bit of gas ** Broooommmm (started)
6) turned it off - tried to start it agian... didnt start.
7) tried again with bit of gas... didnt start.

HELP ME PLEASE!!! WHATS WRONG WITH IT???

i was thinking maybe ive just flooded the engine when i was washing it... could this be the answer? how do i dry it agian? how long should i leave it to dry?

thanks in advance folks,

As long as it takes until you're able to start the car again! Spray WD-40 around your electrical points and keep trying.

dont keep trying youll just flood the engine, should have sprayed wd40 over it immediatly, then try a few hours later, if you didnt spray wd40, electrical connections will start getting rusty

But considering you hosed down your engine inc. electrics he was entitled to call you one
Whereas you have no evidence to back up the fact he has a small penis

now i know why people slag corsa owners...

ok - here goes again.

"i was thinking maybe ive just flooded the engine when i was washing it... could this be the answer? "

i DID in actual fact mention that i thought flooding was the answer - i was mearly looking for clarification. does this make a person a retard for requiring clarification? i didnt think so.
and for someone to be abusive to another member for asking for clarification, they obviously have more problems than meets the eye. see? kids.

You need to pull all the leads/dispac off the car and dry them out! Their probably swimming in gunk and water at the minute. Put the plugs in the oven on Gas mark 6 for an hour and the leads in the airing cupboard overnight.

Washing your car does not flood your engine it soaks the electrics in water floding is when the plugs cylinders become full of fuel so much so it wont burn, so lets say with the soaking of electrics then posting about it then, then showing off about your push bike i would say the retard comment is fair game
