I have this problem at the moment.

Does the brake pedal jump up & down and get progressivly worse when slowing down / applying more pressure ?

yes but as soon as you release the break it lessens the vibration! wondering weather to try getting the front wheels rebalenced!

It stops altogether for me when i release the brake pedal, and is less of a problem when i ease off the pedal.

Im going to swap front wheels with back tomorrow and see if that helps...

Checked tyre presures front left 35 front right 28 so put both to 32! seems good bit better. still going to get balancing checked though if thats how careful they were with the pressures

I think you may have warped brake discs, try driving down a hill slowly (like 5mph or so) and apply ur brakes so ur only just slowing down, does it feel like ur brakes are coming on and off? I have the problem with mine at the moment, so am going to change the brakes soon but havn't got round to it yet! So don't know if that is actually the cause!
