my 1.4 16v sport had a kn 57i kit on it when i bought it! Got some work done on my car the guy recommended i put a airbox and filter back on as the car badly needed remapped! car seems alot smoother but not as quick up the revs.

remapped?? i dont think so
Why does everyone bother with induction kits? all they do is sap power when they suck all that engine heat in

Decent enclosed induction kits like the BMC will be slightly beneficial with a cold air feed. Silly K&N ones will suck in heat and arent any good.

I've got a pipercross viper on mine, and before that I had a pipercross cone filter,
There was a deffinate noticable difference in power when i put the viper on, and even more when I put the port in the front bumper, rather than hanging behind some mesh.
Would deffo recommend the Viper, it goes well with dbilas TBs

dbilas tb's have a plenum chamber (think thats what its called) above the 4 butterflys, which feeds down to a standard style filter
*edit* like this:

i have 4x ITG filters, due to be changed to a pipercross airbox

LMAO, so the idea of feeding more air into the engine is ruined by plugging on a massive bottleneck like an induction kit
