hey, installed a sub and front comps the other day, everything worked great, not been played excessively or anything, then this morning, turned on head unit, everythings fine.... go 2 minutes down the road with the music on really low, and the speakers go off, just the sub running. the speakers are running off the head unit, so ive checked where they connect to the original speaker wire, and everything is fine, checked the remote from the head unit and that is also fine
had this problem with my last corsa also, and have seen several people on here saying the same
any ideas plz??

check the connectors behind the comp's. keep the system on but on a low volume and fiddle with the wires. i found that the plug which connects from original wiring to the speaker becomes loose and goes on and off

Then that means that your mates soldering has melted, or wires have melted, or you have blown the speakers in the short time you had them.

blown speakers still make a very small sound, but there is no sound at all. the solderin on the new speaker wire is fine, hes a qualified electrician. i think there is a problem with the original speaker wire from the car to the door

I'm putting in components in mine at the moment. I've run completely new wire from my amp through into the door as the standard wiring is way too thin!

You can still do it! You just tap into the speaker wires in the wiring harness at the back of the headunit and run it from there to your components. Your comps would sound alot better if you got an amp to run them off

It should sound better with some better quality speaker wire. It'll be a proper pain in the arse to get through the multi plug in the door as I have found out today
