I've got a jvc unit, but im thinking of getting a pioneer, kenwood, or alpine as Id like to control the ipod from the stereo.
The Itrip just isnt good on long journeys (have to change freq) and getting an aux lead is costly and you still dont have the ability to control the ipod from the headunit.
So question is which set up should I get? Anyone using one? good/bad points?

ive got the pioneer controller hooked up to mine, think theres a pic in me garage bit of it.
works well and works with any pioneer headunit that starts with a 'p' mine is a p3600mp, nearly 2 years old

dension do a kit with a dock, it connects as a cd changer (so your head unit will need cd changer control) and you'll be able to control your ipod from your headunit / headunit remote. check out http://www.dension.com/icelink_info.htm for more, they don't do one for JVC, so you'd definately have to change your headunit... use a pioneer one so you can have the remote on your steering wheel
