my engine is running so rough at mo and sometimes wont start and today while investigating i tried to get it started and while i had the key turned the engine was turning but not kicking in then i noticed smoke coming from under here (airbox):-


took the top off it and it was filled with smoke in here:-


any ideas what could be causing this?

when the engine does not start the vapour and fuel build up a bit and can cause it but also a misfire can cause it to smoke from the throttle housing
