Author problem with cod2

basically bought the game today, wanged it into my dvd drive and basically nothing happened and theres a clicking noise from the dvd drive as if its not quite reading it? cant load it up at all and been looking for similar problems on t'internet and people are saying replace the dvd drive? please help me

the dvd drive in question is a standard fit jobby from packard bell

Does it work with other DVDs, or does it do the same with them aswell?

If it does the same, replace the DVD drive...

see i thought that, but it plays cod1 and doom3 and all other dvds/games?

sorry just realised that they arent dvd-rom games...pffft must be the dvd drive then - what can i expect to pay?

Try the dvd in another dvd drive.
If it still doesn't work the dvd is a dud.

get a dvd drive for under £20 cheap as chips now, packard bell use shittest of shit components for their computers, am surprised it worked when u first got the pc

rofl...yeh its only a family pc tbh but yeh ive ordered one off t'internet cheers
