Has anyone made a system yet with one of these?
I am thinking about upgrading by purchasing one of these...and gb of ram and 2 wd raptors.
Anybody used them on their system?

if ur going for dual core athlon wait or save until you can afford either the 4400 or the 4800 as i believe these have 1meg of cache rather than 512kb. im builidng a similar system but waiting till after xmas so i can afford a twin graphics card setup.
also consider the new windows pro 64bit OS to get most from the system

I can already afford the 4800, but hoping that it might decrease in price in january.
Anybody else own one?

I don't have one but have read plenty about them.
At the moment performance gains aren't that different when compared to normal single core processors. When more games and apps start utilising them you'll see more of a difference.
You might want to consider an opteron if you're after sheer speed. They overclock like mad!
