Should i get clocks from a Corsa GSI - as they read upto 140.
Or will clocks from, say, a Cav GSI fit straight in?

But will Cav GSI 140mph clocks go in fairly straight forward?
What you might do and what i might do are clearly two very different things.

now that does suprise me, i would of thought the XE in a corsa would pull to 140mph pretty dam quickly !
so whats the big rave about XE corsas then ? i always thought the big gains were mid and top end !

Lol you guys serious, ive owned a 2ltr corsa for well over 2 years now, and many a time if not everyday of driving it, did 120-140mph but only on duel carriage ways. It can reach there pretty dam fast , it had a powercap, 2.5 inch exhaust, dam pokey thing. ran standard Gsi clocks, worked sound,( was a Gsi originally)
Have fun, be safe the back end on them very lairy when booting it, reccomend rear strute brace. amazing difference with good suspension.

ok yeh it does touch high speed but what i meant on british roads ull be lucky to hit 140mph thats what i meant
uve obviously never driven an xe have u, they have close ratio box so 2nd 3rd are playing gears but they good long drive meaning 130+ mph
i mean i can have 115mph out of 4th gear in mine

i had, and the new owner has had my old xe hit the limiter in 5th. they pull and pull, well, mine did anyway.
and as for the clocks. i had std sri 16v 130 clocks in and it would get to 130 on the dot before hitting the limiter, which as we tested with a mates cossie was actually a little over 140.
speeding is wrong
