It's a 1.2 16v, year 2000. It's been in garage for about 2 years started now and again and just let take over for 5-10mins. But it hasn't been started in about 4 months now and since last time started the hole dash has been removed. I went to it today with a new battery and tried to start it, it just turned and turned didn't make any attempt at firing up. I put the clocks back in and the engine management light is flashing. Any ideas wat could be the problem?

yeah it's just flat out flashing. Any ideas how I could remedy it now then?

on some cars the immobiliser just cuts out the fuel pump (think this what the corsa does) so it will turn but not start.

tried it again there if the key is turned quickly to start the engine fires up right away but cuts out straight away again.

immobiliser, for definate, thats why its flashing, take it to your local dealer, tow or trailer, or if u know someone there, get them to take tech2 round to av a look

when the dash was removed did you take a little black box off from round the lock barrel?
if so, thats the problem. its the pick-up for the immobiliser.

nope never touched the black box, everything came off without touchin it. Would it be anything to do with the steering wheel being removed cause of the wires to the airbag?

I'm sure it flashes to say get to a garage right now, check the manual.

dont think so, its a thin red/blue wire that is used for the immob signal, check its all connected up ok.

got it sorted there, was so simple, i had knocked the plug out of the black box behind the ignition
