u should be looking for a cable coming out of the headunit - usually on the left hand side of the back of the unit

may have a tag saying remote/amp/arial power

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4154&cadid=151bc1b3b126deb584c42cb6048b647e

Best bet might be to get a picture of the back of the unit and post it up

ok mate - hope someone else can confirm this but its just a 12v pwer feed - so if u cant find find it then just find another 12v feed from another part of the car that will be on when u want the amp to come on - possibly fag lighter wire - summat like that

have a switched live then mate.

run a live wire to the remote on the amp, and put a switch in it. All you have to do is turn in on or off, when the car is on ofr off

Its the blue wire coming out of the headunit.
Blue is always labelled remote or powered aeriel or something.
That'll work.

If he looks at the manual or the wee sticker normally on the headunit i'm almost sure it'll be either labelled remote or for a power aeriel either of which will work.
Give it a go.

yeah this was what messed my head plus the instructions being ghey but thinking about it the blue wire would be for the power aerial etc, so would need to use that as it would turn on the amp/aerial when hu is on :thumbscheers john for confirming this)
if this doesn't work then i'll use the fag lighter like you suggested

thanks for the reply's, top tips and great help
