Been to look at a GSi today, had a recon engine fitted 6000 miles ago, but has oil standing in the plugs!
What could this be.....
Leaking Gasket?
Lad selling it thought it could be a piston ring?

U mean in the plug holes ?
Probably the rocker cover gasket or the o-rings for rocker cover bolts.
Itīs not good for the leads or the plugs.

if its an ecotec engine then its common, as eiwan says the gasket fails and allows oil to fill where the spark plugs are, new gasket soon sorts it

if its oil on the plug spark area it can be ring or valve seal
if its in the top og the plug area itll ve rocker gasket
