between £400-£500 yes pounds robbing bastatrd

im not a tight person but that made my day when mine went i nearly shit my pants it was that bad

so

i shoped about and got the lot done for £220 witch was nice thunbs up

what you think
have you had the same problem tell me how much you had yours done for

u wannn hope nothing else goes cuz wen gasket is fixed it puts pressure on bottom engine has compression his high wen skimmed example head gasket gone on mine picked it up same day shells spin on crankshaft welding it together and con rod breaks!!! then after all thats fixed compression is like a brand new engine with rings replaced it blows seals!!! taht was 4 wks ago i pik car up tomoro! best of luck!lol

iyts all fixed with crankshaft fixed 25 tousand now instead of 20more compression ???
new rings new seals new conrods new valves extra skimmed head for more compression cost!!!??? 650 bar!

did you run it in after?

the bloke told me to do 500 miles under 3000 revs witch is nice.

for the money you paid you could have a c20xe!

do head gaskets go ofter on 16v sports?

yes but it will be fine now if it was done properly. Just at 220 depends if it was done properly!

dont want a 2 litre engine m8 has u can tune a 1,6 to do better also i like taking corners at stupid speed and a 2 litre angine wouldnt give me the balance i need!!!

yea gotta do 500 miles on it tobreak it in but thats cuz of new pistons and crank dont think u av to with just gasket fix???

how long they last depends on condition u keep it in example u run on no water it warps the head so if u av problems with rad it needs to be picked up fast other wise head warps wen it dont get water then it creates big probs!! also i ad my car at 62k miles iv thrashed it with my mods on for 43k miles and this happened! mines done 105k but now iv ogt a new engine with wats been dun 2 it pik it up today!!!

My Head Gasket just went, its in garage now. Getting new gasket, cam belt kit and head skimmed for 400

Head gasket set - 45 quid
Head skim - 15 quid
Head bolts - 10 quid
Cambelt Kit- 75 quid
Beer - 10 quid

ive just done mine.

head gasket: £10
bolts: £10
inlet gasket: £3
exhaust gasket £3
Skim: £15


but i also fitted a new cam cover gasket and camshaft oil seals. £20

its not a difficult job, just get a a haynes manual and follow that
