I've just preordered one (K800i) with O2. Told it would be in stock around 07/07. Text will be sent when in stock. At the moment and because I only recently went to O2 after being with Vodafone for 10 years. I was on the 200 mins 50 texts option for £30.

The O2 guy said I can keep my O2 number, and have 500 mins and 500 texts for the £30 a month. I think it should have been £35 but gave me the usual 'not supposed to do this' etc.. I know the score. They can usually offer better rates than advertised.

I have to pay the £49.99 for the phone but as I sold my K750i for £145 and haven't paid for a new phone ever due to selling the old one. I don't care

I called this morning as I'm due an upgrade but they told me they won't be getting any in until the 26th so to call back then.

There is a difference between what O2 CS says and what O2 Online CS says. They are 2 different departments. I am with O2 at the moment but wanted to speak to the online people about ordering a new phone.

The O2 people also said it would not be out until the 26th June and to ring back then. They also told me they could not offer any deals until then and I'd probably have to cancel my contract first if I wanted to go to an online customer.

Online people said yep we can do a deal, we'll text you when it's in and I can keep my number

I phoned the online people earlier today, i asked about the 800 out of interest they said its not available until 26th and cant take any pre orders, luckly i didnt have the intention of having that phone and opted for my first choice which was the samsung e780
