was the speedo working ok? did the engine management light come on at all?is the engine management light flashing?
check the crank sensor hasnt been damaged.

have u tried a new dis pack ?if not try 1.apart from that it could be 1 of many sensors but if your eml light didnt come on its probly not.

if the engines turning over but it wont start then my guess is crank sensor. that will cause all of the symptoms you are having.

never been massive bollocks
honestly mate my car did not run with a fucked erg valve sprayed it with carb cleaner the lot still played up
got a new one fine
