I'd replace the laptop mate.

As said replacing the screen alone could cost you as much as £200. You could get a decent 2nd hand laptop for £250 off the bay.

New screen, this will only get worse and worse, used to have fun with broken ones at work, pushing the black liquid about the screen

You should be able to fit the screen yourself, most laptopos are just a few screw and push in connector

Yeah im pretty sure if you find a decent computer hardware specialist you should be able to buy a new screen but no idea on price.

If you have a VGA plug on the back of your laptop. you could just use a monitor from a PC if you have one lying around and dont use the laptop on trains etc

Yeh replace a few laptop screens at work on Dell laptops and HP's

Unclip where the power buttons are along the top will be the socket to plug the screen in and a screw for the earth!

Unscrew/ unplug these, undo the screws holding the screen in place (plastic screen covers)

swap screen over DO NOT TOUCH parts of it usually labeled also 100% wear a static wrist strap if handling a screen!

Then reverse the process!

Takes about 30mins to take old one out and new one in so just try and source a screen on ebay

Screens usually go for about £100+
