Would it be illegal for someone to create an emulator for the xbox to play ps2 games?

I know they did one on the PC called connectix for the PS1 so ther must be a way around the copyright law

If somebody managed to write a piece of software from scratch to do it it coudln't be illegal.

emulators are not illegal its the games/roms that you use if you dont own the orginal game

the old psx emulator for the pc was called bleem. only worked with certain titles afaik but it wasnt too bad at all

i had a snes emulator running on my ps2. mario world and mario kart

its called PCSXbox, but it is ONLY for the xbox not the 360, and it still only works on a few titles like bleem

can't see it happening, certainly not in the next year or so as they've pretty much locked the 360 down and hacks are limited as is - even with the media connect stuff.

Saying that though, you can pick up an xbox off ebay for 30 quid - useful for PSX games (not PS2, no emulator out) and media player (streaming of pcs, internet etc)
