by breather filter do you mean a cone filter, eg pipercross, K'n'N?
if so it wont increase power no, but it will make it sound better.

urm, havent heard of cone filter before, but i dont mean an induction kit. Its the little small one...

It wont do anything. They are only needed on cars which rev high or get thrashed about, standard engines can do alright venting to the inlet...

so u mean an oil breather filter? you would only really need one if you were putting an induction kit on and removing you standard airbox.

i have an induction kit on atm. My mate got 1 for his yarris and sed it slightly increased performance. He must be bullshittin or imagining it then lol

he will have probably just thought it increased performance because of the noise it was producing

They don't make any noise, they just prevent oil from surging into the inlet manifold. They won't give you an increase in performance at all.

i was talkin about the induction kit when i said about the noise it will make, not the breather filter, just to clear that up
