no 12 month contract so no cancellation fee + free modem and activation
you just need to give 30 days notice for cancellation
(its a monthly contract)

here's what you could do. i worked for tesco broadband technical support last year so know the tricks as such.
1. if you want to cancel within 12 months a fee applies but in their t&c's it says if you move home and they can't provide broadband at the new address there is no charge.
so if you went with them when you say you are moving just give a postcode that cannot receive broadband.
2. if the account holder dies then a family member can call up and cancel without a cancellation fee.
tesco used to ask for a copy of the death certificate but they realised it was not a good customer practice.
(it was a year ago so terms may have changed but thats what was done when i worked there)
those are your tesco options!
