Alot of stuff on finance you have 14 days to cancel, not sure how it works with good home now etc..
If you had to take it back and it wasn't faulty you are not guarenteed money back.

in all the paper i got it says,
can i cancel this cover?
you have a statuary right to cancel this policy in 30 days of the policy start date,if you decided its not suitable for you. if you wish to cancel this cover within the 30 days of this start date, any premium you have paid will be refunded, if cancelation is made after 30 days as premiums are paid monthly, there will be no refund of preium due, to cancel this policy write to ..........
so does that mena i have to write to them and not just go into the shop??
as how do i then give them the laptop back?

You can cancel the loan but you'll still need to pay for the laptop somehow. Its two contracts, not one.
