It can't be unlocked, that's why they are significantly cheaper on ebay.

Found a phone shop in Manchester to do it, paid £25 wait 3 working days - job done!

THREE AND VODAFONE FONES CAN NOW BE UNLOCKED (SE'S AND NOKIAS)
ONLY WAY TO UNLOCK ORANGE FONES IS TO RING EM AND GET CHARGED £25 IF U OWN THE FONE

you need the cables if you dont get the code from the provider.
