whats the difference between 1080i and 1080p? and which should i be using as they both work on my tv

Geek day and if the 360 can output in that and your tv is actually 1080p use that.

interlaced and progessive scan, 1080p is better

lol just checked ive been using 1080i since i got mine changed it to 1080p now

You should only change to 1080p if you have a tv that actually displays a 1080p picture.

wouldnt it just not show if your tv wasnt 1080p compliant.

1080p compliant is different from actually displaying 1080p.
If your tv is only 720p you might as well leave it at that.

hmmmm just checked it fully supports 1080i but not 1080p owwwwwww well.
im guessing there is little if any noticble difference in the two modes any way.
