na thats just a stereotype whilst nintendo do have a lot of first party games which are suitable for children, ps2 and xbox have a lotttt more kiddie games from third party devolopers.
however, if your asking which has the best quality games for kids i would go with Nintendo.

Get a ps2 slimline and get one of those adaptors that opens the lid for you that enables you to play copied games. No modding and no voiding of warranty.

yes PS and Xbox will have far more choice.
Sonic is coming out for the 360 and there's a new Spyro out soon.
I would get a 360. You can play the majority of original xbox games on it plus you can have a little go yourself now and then

'kin hell mav your lazy cunt
Premium version is roughly around the £280 mark. Core version can be had for £190 or thereabouts.
Difference between the two? Premium comes with a 20GB Hard drive (necessary for actually saving games, it's either that or a memory pack). You also get the headset, and an HD Cable (about £40 on ebay). You also get a wireless controller instead of a wired one.
Obviously prices will differ depending on deals you go for etc...

Nintendo Wii, more focused on actually being involved in the game and will have games more focused at kids and joining in.
180 quid and its out soon.

It's definitely worth it in terms of price. Individually the price you pay for each of the items is larger than the difference between the Premium and Core consoles
There is a whole host of original xbox games that will work with the 360 straight away. Then you have games like Sonic that are coming out for the 360 before Christmas. I don't think you'll be stuck for choice.
Don't forget to get your games off of Play-Asis as well. £22
