Would i be able to put this in a first floor flat or would it be too noisy. It's a full concrete floor.

If its a concrete floor try and get sum thicker insulated underlay difernece is quite noticable. My mates house the floor is always quite cold and in ours is cool to room temp depends how u feel about cold feet

The issue with laminate flooring and noise isn't to your own flat...
It's the poor fcukers below that have to put up with the noise

check your lease, according to ours we shouldnt have laminate in our flat, but the people below are sound and have said dont worry about it and so have the freeholders.

As long as you lay sound proof underlay there shouldnt be a problem, or a high quality underlay
My whole house has been done in cloud 9 underlay which is the best (or one of the best) you can buy.
I plan on having laminates downstairs at some point, the carpet in the living rooms could do with being replaced but i havent even lived here a year yet

Think i'll visit one of these laminate places and see what they have.
As you say Ally, my carpets are showing wear and tear but good for another year or so. One of the reasons i don't want them in my new place if i get it. You also have holes in places where you move something or replace the item. My main reason is to do with being able to clean the floor when ever i want though. Depending what time i get in depends on what time i clean up and it's not really fair to other people me sticking a hover on at silly o'clock.

Karndean flooring its the only real option.
Laminate Flooring looks like glossy paper if you want wooden floor affect go for a proper option.
