got the gearbox on and put the car all back together and got it started this morning. everything seems to be fine but the car is shaking a lot. when starting up it feels like something is knocking on something. i have a feeling it might be the exhasut.
has anoyone else got any other ideas?

all the mounts done up ok? I have this on the Vectra, turned out to be the airbox knocking around on start-up.

it is shaking the whole car. sounds metal to metal.
hope it is just something easy as am getting pissed off with all these problems.

Maybe a long shot but did you check flywheel whislt doing all the work?
or maybe could be engine mount? only saying about theenginemount cus ifucked mine when i was changing the box onmy old car, enginemount under the airbox.

a dry box will cause very bad vibration through the car
