what size can i fit behind normal door pockets in my corsa,

also any recomendations on speakers? dont want to spend to much money though

if u get adaptors u can fit upto 17cm

or build door pods go as big as u want

ive got door pods with 6x9s in and they have started to crack with people kicking them, also iam in the middle of tidying the interior up and want to put my old standerd door pockets back on so need some speakers to fit behind them

why not build component ones but very strong

Although you can fit 17cm speakers in with adapters, you need to watch the depth of the speaker as not all fit.

yeah also I had to cut the door metal for mine due to the connectors hitting the metal... so needed to clear space. also had to trim the door pockets as the woofers used to catch the least deep bits... stick to 5.25", turn the bass down on them... it's shitloads less hassle and just bang a sub in boot lol

yeah i had to cut a chunk out the door to when i fitted some 17cm components. Was a job and a half but worth it in my opinion. I only paid about £40 for some JBL components from motorworld but they are times better than the originals

i had 165mm alpine type s components in the front and I had to cut the door out quite a bit. I hate doing door builds though, they take so long and need so much work to look good, and they often crack!

6.5" fit fine with autoleads adapters and a mounting depth no greater than 65mm, and a magnet no bigger than 7-8cm

Halfords sell um but you might have to order them.
