Opinions needed on this touch screen head unit!?
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10151&storeId=10001&partNumber=612879&langId=-1
Value for money?
Any better available for same sort of money?
Quality?
Cheers

i've had a wee play bout with it in work m8 (halfords) and it seems decent, really popular n we have nothing near the same price - at one time it was £599.99 for that unit so its at a really gd price just now...

wouldnt pay 500 notes for that, never
for 500 you could buy the kenwood KVT-627 dvd
or the alpine Iva-D100r
both these will have far superior screen quality and sound quality

ripspeed ipod,
anything thats motorised and ipod for £100 is asking for it,
personel experience i had one that drained the batterey thats it.
the cmr1000 and 2000 are decent for the money and as far as my experience goes ive only ever had to reset them about 5 times in total "all different units" over a time period of 8 months - ish
but there is far worse out there "tevion" £40 from aldi, had 4 customers come in for me to look at them 2 were making clicking noises and seem'd to have a smoking habbit and one liked munching fuses
