Oh the joys of the 1.0 12v.

This happens on almost every drive, the car ocassionally bogs down and the EML will come on.. Changing gear or dipping the clutch usually clears it for a bit before it happens again. Also, when first starting up and pulling away after it's been sat for a few hours it really struggles and the revs drop a fook load.

Obviously this is a common for these little engines, because everyone has these problems! Am I right in thinking I need to replace the air flow meter? I've left it a while but really want it sorted now as I reckon I'm fully rinsing petrol.

I'm such a newb when it comes to engines so I haven't a clue. Can someone confirm what it is I need and if I'd be able to fix it myself or get a garage/mate to do it. Cheers!

Great.. I shall ask around and see if I can get it cheaper.

If it is just a sensor, about how much will it cost to replace?

That depends what sensor it is
I remember going to vauxhall for an ICV and the guy saying £250. I was like . He wasnt joking .
Just get sensors from a motorfactors. I would have said anwhere from £50 to £100 if you fit it yourself
