my bro has 256 MB NonECC 333MHz DDR Memory (1x256)

would i be able to give him my 512MB (2X256MB) PC3200 DDR-MEMORY (400MHZ)?

i will be upping to 1Gb soon as just wanna see if i can put my old stuff to good use!

If he has DDR already then yea it should work. At worse, the mobo won't support PC3200 and will throttle it PC2700 (333) etc

true, but i've yet to see an ATX (apart from mini-itx/itx mini-atx etc) motherboard that has one slot. Most boards have atleast 2 slots.

Plus im sure common sense would kick in, open case, see one slot...no you're not going to fit two sticks of ram in there

lmao. well i only have his invoice here, and it doesnt seem to have the m/board info on it but i can tell you the processor running on it if that helps!

Celeron D processor 330 (2.66GHz, 533fsb, 256k cache)

from what i remember, its a very poor m/board... doesnt have an agp slot! but im sure it has two memory slots. if not ill just shove the fuckers in there anyway eh
