My 12months is coming to an end on my old contract, so I'm looking for a new phone!
i really like this the sony ericsson s700i, :
http://www.sonyericsson.com/product/s700/
Best 2 contracts I've found:
Option1)
Phone Price = £79,99
Contract Per Month - £45
= 1000txt/250pics/150video messages
400 xnet xtime mins
1mb GPRS
Free Voicemail
Option2)
Phone Price = £149.99
Contract Per Month - £25
= 500 txt/125pics/75video messages
100 xnet xtime mins
1mb GPRS
10ppm Voicemail
-------------------------------------
With option 1 after 6months i can down grade to option2 contract cause i really don't need that many free txts or mins.
What do you guys think?

6 months you can downgrade... £20 (the difference between tariffs) *6 is £120... so you'd be paying £50 more taking the first option, even though you'd save straight away.
You should be able to find that phone for free i'd imagine, it's been out a month or so

you can downgrade after 6 months, but it tak30days to change the guy from 02 said, so it's more like 7months, making the option 1 cause £70 more overall. but do you think it's worth paying that to get the extra 300xnet xmins times and 500 txt per month?
I'd love the phone free, but i can't find any other decent contracts, I've been thru the papers today es and searching the internet!

Voyto - you are a genius, orange student packages are amazing!
only thing they don't do the sony ericsson, however they have the samsung d500 for £50 or the nokia 6230 for free.
contract = £25 per month
120 xnet xtime mins
1000 txt
Now I'm really confused!

Matt - are you sure it's only for the first 6months? cause i can't see where it says that, the extact wording i can see is "1000 free txts a month for upto 4years"
but unlike o2's txts, those txt on orange are text only right? cause on o2 you can exchange 4txt messages for a pic message?

6230 comes with a 32 mb card & is expandable
D500 has 80mb internal memory & isn't expandable

they can both access the internet via http:// right? (i.e they can view a normal webpage)
does any1 know if it's possible to share a internet connection from my PC via bluetooth and the phone connect thru that thus me not having to pay to access the net whilst I'm in the flat? (within 10m)
