I have a '96 trip and was wondering if it were possible to change the badge on the bootlock?

If i bought a new style bootlock does the badge just sit on the top without that black solid background? Because i'd like to fit a holden badge..

yes new new surround will take the new badge, that badge is recessed into the surround. depending on badge size it might fit into the recess, saving you changing the surround

Wouldn't mind buying a new style and then color coding though as i need to re-paint bits of the car like around the rear wiper as you can see in the pic.

fitted mine to the pre 97 surround, easy.

be warned tho, people will ask why you have a pug badge on your car

Schlumpfy, you got a bit of bubbling around your wiper you might want to sort out before it gets any worse.

Mate, i've got a collection of photos here of various bits of paint bubbling. Especially the bonnet which is why i'm considering one of those bonnets with the bad boy brows. No vents though.. There's scratches and even a dent in the car. All there when i bought it but i had to have it because it twas love at first sight
