yeah but many of these smaller engined modded cars (like mine!) are like that because of stupid insurance prices. So many of us get our cars looking mint over 2 or 3 years then bang a bigger engine in when we can afford to insure it. Also that way people know you to have a slow car but get anally raped at the traffic lights when the engines in.

the 2ltr 16v turbo engine currently goes for around the £1000 mark. thats with 70k+ miles on it. They come with +/-200bhp standard. 250bhp is still a couple of quid off from a grand mate. not taking into account the £300-400 needed for custom drive shafts

£700 fitting kit, plus brakes, plus strengthening, plus suspension, plus fitting= not a small job. 204bhp standard.

Best £ for bhp is the 2.0litre Conversion. £400 engine, suspension, 2.0litre brakes, fitting, bought £500 fitting kit.

Best for fun, sound, and just sheer bollox is the 1.6 16v on TB. Just as much power nearly can be gained from them as a 2.0litre, but weighs less and is meant to be in the engine bay.
