ok i am currently insured in my dads name as a named driver but i driver the car everyday.
i am waiting to mod it but my dad wont let me untill it is insured im my own name.
problem the arises that in november a van drove in to the back of me, just before i was about to change it.
now the claim still isnt sorted and i need to change the insurance into my own name.
because the claim is still on going will a different insurance company not insure me.
hope this makes sence

im in exactly the same position, it wont effect you as its your dads insurance the accident was involved in, told new insurance that still had something outstanding but said what happened and that i wasnt claiming from my insurance and it didnt bump the price up atall.
