Eibach, Koni or Spax for quality. Although you would be much better off with a shocks/springs kit if you can afford it

im just goin for the springs at the min mate as im only gonna have the car for about another year then moving up to a 1.6 16v so i dont wanna spend silly money on suspension.when i do eventually move up 2 the 1.6 i will be gettin -60mm springs and shock or poss coilovers.so baiscally just wanna get rid of the monster truck look

In that case go for G-Max, cheapest option! And although not to everyones taste, not a bad ride in my experience. Depends how picky you are!

buy the proper stuff now and then you can swap it over on the the 1.6 when you get it.
it is really worth getting dampers too, even if they are second hand they will be much better than standard ones

i found these springs n shocks on ebay by evolution r.i know there not a top name but they do look decent also they have the shortend piston rods which is a bounus from just fittin springs to normal my standard shocks.
like i say they may not be a top name but they have to be better than fitting any lowering springs to standard shocks.

yeah i know but what i am saying is the spring poundage will be different you were saying it would lower it more becasue of this, i am disagreeing because a 1.6 will be heavier so needs higher spring poundage than the 1.2
