Dell A425?
I have a set, not sure about best but they're cheap enough and fairly capable.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

agree, there pretty damn good, offer a good range in sound though seem to be a little bright at the top end and the middle can struggle sometimes if the sub has been let loose and cranked up - but certainly the best computer speakers i've heard for playing music on!
kz - what do you mean best computer speakers? it seems that you're after something that looks good rather than sounds good in which case get some creative bollocks or those jbl's. If on other hand you're after something that SOUNDS good (the main reason for having speakers to be honest) then like said the A&E's are pretty damn good, a bit bright perhapps compared to A&E hifi speakers but certainly sound a lot better than anything i've heard from creative, bose, logitech (5500's are really disappointing) etc.....
Otherwise, if you're really serious about sound then look at some active monitors (flat response speakers) or a decent amp and speaker setup

i already have a very good hifi. but where my tv is, its unsuitable to use the same speakers. thus why i need some small speakers to fit on a shelf. again, do not want another amp. those jbls crap then? i want a mixture of good sound/looks tbh

just read the reviews, nearly everyone giving them 5/5! sound damn good
in fact there was only one person that didnt give 5/5 and that was one person that gave 4/5 cause he said the power cord wasnt long enough? that is actually quite a bad factor concidering where im putting them. does the power cord go into the sub? if so it should be alright! only bad if its into the speakers

Yep, the power cord is attached to the sub - There's about 60 inches of power cord and roughly around 3 meters of cable for the satellite speakers.
I bought mine from overclockers and didn't have a problem.
There is also another output for a center speaker which you can buy here but personally I think they sound awesome as they are!

I got these for £25 years ago and I don't think they make them no more. They are excellent PC speakers.
