I have no sound on my computer, It's connected upto the Sterio Speakers, although the sterio itself is working fine, its not allowing the computer to work sound through the speakers..?

Looked at all the wires, they're all hooked up fine..

You need to turn mute off.

Does the sound work on the pc if you plug some headphones in?

Sound card installed properly ?
Open sound and check Properties to se if something thats not on the main list is muted

bottom right hand corner (where the clock is) should be the sound icon right click,open sound control, then pops up with a new window with the sound options make sure none are muted or turned down low.

I'm trying to establish whether she's saying the problem is with her PC or the connection between the PC to the Stereo.

It will most prob be summit with the PC, do what every good technician would tell u, reset the PC
