what are the laws on plates? the only thing the corsa failed its mot on today was"incorrect plate sizes for road use" all the letters and fonts are correct! all ive done is cut the ends off the plates

i really like your plates...
i think what they meant was the gap between the '2' and the 'B' is too small...
theyre meant to be a certain distance apart!! (i.e. an inch or something)
i've got small plates also, but i will swap them for the originals for when my MOT comes round.

i totally forgot bout the plates, ive still got my other ones just didnt swap em over what does my head in tho is you can clearly make out what the letters n numbers are

But they are wrongly spaced, leave a bigger border when you chop them down and you should be fine i had no hassle with mine, front one cut down more than back though

My interpretation of the number plate law is the plate has 2 have correctly spaced letters/numbers and they must be of the correct size the plate must have a reflective background and rear plate must be light up with light that must shine onto the plate and not towards other drivers .
And that’s it if u cut a piece of the plate off each end its ok but there must be at least 1cm of visible yellow or white at each end.

aye tis the spacing on your back one, nothing to do with the cutting down of the plate. so get another one done with the right spacing in between ''2'' and ''b'' and cut that one down. will be fine
