It improves aero-dynamics so should be quicker on motorways yes/no? I am expecting many no's but come on I drive a 1.2 8v and any little gain is like winning the lottery

I think it does improve aerodynamics slightly coz if your car is lower, there's less air going underneath the car so there's less resistance. Think about why Ford put that lip on the front bumper of the Cosworth!

It wont improve aerodynamics but it will lower the cars centre of gravity therefore in theory making it handle better, but f*ing up-camber,cv joints, tyre contact patch etc.....although...if you like driving go karts..it mite also improve grip because if the car is lower the air underneath is at higher pressure therefore sucking it to the ground..but then again it is only a corsa!
you'll need an aerodynamically modelled under tray to achieve a lower drag coefficient , although i think some calibra skirts are designed to be aerodynamic

lets put it a simple way then

i throw a stone perfectly horizontal at 5m's above the ground

if i throw the same stone with the same power at 1m above the ground your saying it will travel further because of less resistance - i dont think so

air flow above & beneath the car becomes a factor at high speed when i causes the car to become unstable if not properly channeled, this is what spoilers are for.

now go away and learn

thats right, the only thing it will do is create more downforce by restricting air going underit lifting it off the ground and creating more grip (which you won't really need in a straight line), you will not go faster in straight lines, but will be able to corner quicker as there will be more grip.

Because the car is lower less air will be passing under the car, so the proportion of air above to air below will be increased, so then the downforce will be increased, but only slightly.

It will become a slight bit more areodynamic but not so that you would notice.

And Lowering isn't something to worry about, if its done properly and you take it to a garge to alter the toe in and camber and such you will be fine. Wear will be increased on parts but not by much if its setup properly.

when lower you are less likely to roll in corners there is also more air forced over the smooth top of the car the underside is not aerodynamic and causes drag turbulence.
so lowering the car lowers the frictional losses on the car

This is a daft post... Sod aerodynamics! Look we cant expect miracles with our 1.2's so we sell them and get better cars OR bigger engines...

lower to the ground means u will get better handling and a srut brace is gud but uve got a 1.2 why do you wanna be doin more than 30 i mean can u do more than 30 ,and aero dynamics u make it sound like u want the fuker to fly.

by lowering your car you are forcing ther car to run more camber, this creates more stress on the CV's, I know this for a fact cos mine is -80 all round and untill I got a spacer made up i was destroying driveshafts on a monthly basis by blowing the inner CV.

you can solve this tho by fitting ajustable bottom arms
